Wainhomes update

The Wainhomes planning application for 90 houses on land east of Tregony Road, Probus, can be viewed on the Cornwall Council planning portal at Wainhomes planning application.

Many local residents (>100 as at 7 December) have lodged objections online to the application.

Also of significance are the objections lodged by:

South West Water: insufficient capacity in the local sewerage network - Wainhomes would need to reach an agreement with SWW for some new infrastructure before any progress could be made on construction on the site.

Environment Agency: unhappy with the drainage plans for the site. Wainhomes would need to submit new plans for the onsite drainage before the application could progress.

Cornwall Council Highways: their comments relate to the inadequacy of the junction on to the A390 bypass and to the narrow section of Tregony Road leading to The Square.

The details of the objections can be viewed on the planning portal at PA13/09823. Click on comments, then on consultee comments.

Unless and until these objections can be overcome by Wainhomes, this application has no chance of being approved.
