Wainhomes planning application

Public meeting held in Probus Village Hall on 1 April

Cornwall Council's Central Planning Committee will meet on Monday 14 April in County Hall, Truro at 2 p.m. to consider the application by Wainhomes to build 90 houses on land off Tregony Road, Probus (PA13/09823).

On 1 April, the members of the committee attended a site meeting and walked Tregony Road from The Square to the proposed site and to the junction with the A390 Probus bypass. They then attended a public meeting held in the village hall together with the planning officer for the application and the Council's highways planning officer. The meeting was attended by more than 100 local residents. Many spoke, all of them were opposed to the application. Points were made about the road access, the scale of the development, the impact upon the local school and other planning matters. No person spoke in favour of the application.

The officers and members of the committee noted the comments made by the public and promised that these would be carefully considered as part of the decision making process.
