Wainhomes, Probus

Planning committee refuses application

On Monday 14 April, Cornwall Council Central Planning Committee considered the application by Wainhomes Ltd. for 90 houses on land off Tregony Road, Probus. The parish council and two local residents from Probus spoke against the application, as did I as your local councillor. There were no speakers in support of the application apart from the Wainhomes representative.

The committee expressed their concern about several aspects of the proposal but particularly in respect of the highways issue. The committee voted unanimously to refuse the application.

It will be seen in due course if Wainhomes decide to take the application to an appeal. I will keep residents advised if and when this happens, but it could be several months before anything happens on this.
