Wind turbine installed on Pittsdown Farm

On 7 July 2016, the components for the wind turbine at Pittsdown Farm were delivered to the site. They came on long, low loaders and special arrangements were made with Cornwall Council Highways to enable the vehicles to navigate the narrow roads including coming through the village of Tregony. The deliveries went smoothly and within a few days the turbine was erected.

Connection to the electricity grid and commissioning of the turbine will take place over the next few weeks. Local residents should see the blades starting to turn soon and electricity will then be generated and fed into the local supply system.
