New bus timetables generally working well, but some teething problems

New bus timetables were introduced by both First Buses and Western Greyhound from 1 June 2014. This was as a result of a combination of commercial decisions by the bus companies and the latest tendering round for services subsidised by Cornwall Council.

The new timetables generally seem to be working well and the extension of the Western Greyhound routes to Treliske has been popular; but there have been some teething problems.

The Western Greyhound routes of 522, 550 and 551 are run on tight timetables with no leeway for mechanical or traffic problems. Some incidents have been reported to me of the non-runing of some services.

Please contact me and let me know of any significant problems as they occur. It will be useful for me to know what is going on and to take up any issues with the management of the bus companies.
