Remedial works on footpath at Mill Lane, Grampound, nearing completion

The footpath that runs from Mill Lane, Grampound, to Pepo Lane has been closed for 7 years because it was unsafe. Water running down from the fields over the years had washed away much of the path and, at times, it was like to trying to walk up a waterfall.

After a few false starts and issues with an unsafe building at the bottom of the path, Cormac are now close to completing works to make it passable again for walkers. A cantilevered construction has been installed over the route and the final touches to the project should be made early in the new year.

The footpath will then be formally re-opened for public use.
