Household waste recycling centre at Tregurra Park: construction should start soon

When the park and ride site was proposed at Tregurra, the plans included the provision of a new household waste recycling centre on the site. Unfortunately, variious issue have delayed the implementation of this facility: negotiations with the Duchy (the freeholder of the site), negotiations around the PFI waste contract, and the discovery of archeological remains at the location of the proposed facility.

These issues have now been resolved and the contract has now been signed for construction of the facility. Work should start on site very soon. However, it may be up to a year before it is open for use by the public.
