Green Cornwall programme announces grants available for community buildings

The Green Cornwall Community Grant fund seeks to support the viability and sustainability of community assets and hubs that are deemed important to communities throughout Cornwall. It aims to do this through predominantly supporting energy efficiency measures in assets such as community halls, sports facilities or any other community assets that are important to the vibrancy and social fabric of an area. Running costs for these types of establishments are often prohibitive and can become unsustainable, and this fund is aimed at helping reduce these running costs.

Examples of measures and technologies that are eligible for funding include biomass boiler installation, heating system and boiler upgrades, radiator upgrades (including low surface temperature radiators or under floor heating), cavity or solid wall insulation, loft insulation, energy efficient lighting installations, double or secondary glazing and draft proofing measures.

For further details, see the Council website at Green Cornwall Community Grant Fund.
