Grampound Surgery: CCG not yet ready to make decision on proposal to close the surgery

The doctors at Probus Surgery have submitted to NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) their proposal to cease providing services from the building in Mill Lane, Grampound.

The Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) within the CCG is the committee that needs to consider the proposal and to make the decision on behalf of the CCG. The PCCC is meeting on Thursday 8 October but the agenda for that meeting merely says, in respect of Grampound Surgery "Information" and "Verbal update". This means that the CCG will not be making a final decision at that meeting.

The next meeting of the PCCC will be on 10 December. Whether or not the PCCC will make a decision at that meeting, and, if so, will they support the proposal, remains to be seen.

The doctors have given the landlord of the premises notice to quit on 25 December. The timetable is looking increasingly tight!
