Eco bus shelter installed in Grampound

Cornwall Council secured funding from central government to improve the quality of public transport in the county. With these monies, the Council is rolling out a programme of installing new bus shelters at certain bus stops and, working in partnership with the bus companies, installing real time passenger information systems at the stops.

After consultation with the local community and amendments to the original plans, it was decided to install one mini shelter on the Truro bound side of the road in Grampound. Groundworks were completed in early 2014 and the shelter itself was finally installed in March 2014.
