Garlenick wind turbines erected and soon to be commissioned

Construction at the site of the proposed two wind turbines on the Garlenick estate continues to make progress.

The towers have been constructed and the blades installed. The finished turbines are 110 metres from ground level to the tip height.

As of end of October, it is expected that they will start turning soon and feeding electricity into the grid. They need to run for 100 hours continuously to be signed off as ready for full-time operation.

Construction is being carried out by Raymond Brown Construction Limited on behalf of the developer, Airvolution Ltd.

For other photos at an earlier stage in the process, see Garlenick construction.
