Truro Eastern District Centre

The planning application for the Truro Eastern District Centre was first considered by the Strategic Planning Committee on 15 December 2011. After a protracted debate, the committee voted to defer the application to enable the officers to provide more details about queries that had been raised.

It is likely that the item will be considered again by the Strategic Planning Committee meeting of 8 March 2012.

The residents' survey that was carried out in Probus Parish in January 2012 showed a split of opinion on this issue. I have sent my comments to the planning officer dealing with this item. I have said that, on balance, I think that the benefits of the scheme outweigh the detriment. For the full text of my submission, see Park and Ride submission.
