Truro Eastern District Centre planning application approved The planning application for the Truro Eastern District Centre was first considered by the Strategic Planning Committee on 15 December 2011. After a protracted debate, the committee voted to defer the application to enable the officers to provide more details about queries that had been raised. At the subsequent meeting of 8 March 2012, the application was approved by 11 votes to 8. (The approval is subject to the consent of the Secretary of State.) During the debate, I presented the results of the residents' survey that I had carried out in the parish of Probus. I also put forward reasons why I supported the application. For a full text of what I said, see TEDC submission.
