Waste collections: Cory win contract for all of Cornwall

Cornwall Council has awarded the contract for all waste collections in Cornwall to Cory Environmental Services with effect from 1 April 2012. For residents in Probus, Tregony and St Michael Penkivel, this will mean little change from the current arrangement with continuation of weekly black bag collections and fortnightly recycling collections using the box and reusable bags system. There will be a change to the garden waste collection system – further details will be announced in due course.

For residents of Grampound, there will be significant changes. Recycling collections will go back to fortnightly and there will be a re-usable box and bags system instead of the current single-use bags. Further details will be provided in due course.
