Christmas and New Year waste, recycling and garden waste collections; and Christmas tree collections

Cornwall Council's waste contractor (Biffa/Cory) will continue to collect black bag waste, recycling and garden waste over the Christmas and New Year period except in the case of any collections due on Boxing Day, Monday 26 December. No collections will be made on this day. Black bag waste will be collected the following Monday. If garden waste or recycling is due to be collected on this day, instead it will be collected on the following Saturday, 31 December.

Grampound parish: collections in Grampound are on Fridays and so they will take place on the usual days over the holiday period.

Probus: most of the village and the rural parts of the parish are due for collections on Mondays. The black bag waste will not be collected on Monday 26 December. Next collection the following week on Monday 2 January. Garden waste due to be collected on Monday 26 December will instead be collected on Saturday 31 December.

Probus: The Green and a few other small areas that have collections on Fridays will have their waste, recycling and garden waste collected on the usual days.

Tregony: most of the parish is due for collections on Mondays. The black bag waste will not be collected on Monday 26 December. Next collection the following week on Monday 2 January. Garden waste due to be collected on Monday 26 December will instead be collected on Saturday 31 December.

Cuby: the parts of Cuby within the village of Tregony have their collections on Mondays and so the same will pertain to them as for Tregony. Some parts of Cuby have their collections on Fridays and will have their waste, recycling and garden waste collected on the usual days.

The household waste recycling centre at St Austell will be open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. but will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Christmas tree collections

Cornwall Council will collect Christmas trees after the holiday period on the same day as when garden waste is being collected during the weeks commencing 9 January and 16 January - note that you do not have to be signed up for garden waste collections in order to use this service. This means that collections will be as follows. Leave the tree out next to your black bag rubbish.
