Changes to bus services in Cornwall

In mid September, it was announced that Western Greyhound would be ceasing its operations in west Penwith. At the same time, First have indicated that there will be changes to their services in some parts of the county. The full extent of the changes is not yet clear. However, indications for the Probus, Tregony and Grampound area are as follows:

First

No. 27: it is likely that the service between Truro and St Austell will revert to an hourly service rather than its current mix of hourly or half-hourly at different times of the day. It is likely also that it will no longer run through to Treliske, but will terminate in Truro bus station. This means that patients travelling from Probus and Grampound to Treliske will have to change in town to another service, e.g. 14/18 runs every 10-15 minutes to layby by the hospital.

Western Greyhound

No. 520: it is likely that the Sunday service between Truro and St Austell will continue but without the last bus of the day.

No. 550/551: there may be some timetable changes.

No. 522: Western Greyhound have indicated that they will be putting on some buses on Sundays on this route.

Changes are likely to happen from 3 November. As soon as definite information is available, it will be published on this website.
