Bus lane on Tregolls Road continues to cause problems and hold-ups

From the time that the bus lane on the inbound carriageway of Tregolls Road came into operaton, motorists started to experience long tailbacks on the approach roads. Traffic has stretched back to Tresillian during rush hours.

I had hoped that, as motorists became accustomed to the new road layout, the hold-ups and queues would diminish. However, after 9 days, I have now reached the conclusion that things are not going to get better so long as the bus lane is operational.

I have written to the head of transortation asking him to review the use of the bus lane as a matter of urgency. My recommendation is that it is disbanded as soon as possible.
