Bodmin St Petroc by-election won by Liberal Democrats

In the Bodmin St Petroc division of Cornwall Council, Steve Rogerson, the Liberal Democrat candidate, tragically died after the close of nominations but before election day. As a consequence, the election on 4 May for that division was null and void.

A by-election for that seat was held on the same day as the general election, 8 June. The by-election was won by Leigh Frost, Liberal Democrat, thus bringing the Council up to its full complement of 123 councillors.

For details of the Council, see Democracy.
