New system for applying for blue badges for disabled motorists

From 2 November, Cornwall Council will be changing the way that customers apply for blue badges. The blue badge assessment team have been reviewing the application process with the aim of simplifying it for customers and improving the efficiency of the assessment.

If customers are making a new claim they can call the Council on 0300 1234 121, or follow the instructions on the Council website at Cornwall Council blue badges.

Once the form has been completed, applicants can then pay the £10 fee for their badge by calling the Council on the same number and paying by debit or credit card. Where appropriate, customers will still be able to complete a paper form and pay by cheque.

However, the Council's face to face employees will no longer be able to deal with and/or process blue badge enquiries directly.
